As 80% of our business is derived from mold making, injection mold design and injection molding tooling, it is vital that Aurora CAD/CAM remain an industry leader. Our advanced CAD/CAM capabilities often permit us to design molds and tools in 20 to 50 percent less time that is typical of today’s industry.

Lean Machining and Manufacturing

Aurora CAD/CAM packs the capability and technology of a large shop into a smaller, more efficient outfit, often allowing us to reduce the labor time associated with the manufacturing process. For example, a client order consisted of building several harness tools, each with its own unique variations. Our advanced CAD/CAM capability helped us remove large amounts of time from the design process, while our high-speed machining enabled us to cut directly into hardened steel (RC52-55) using cutters  as small as .25mm, creating a bench-free finish. We spotted these complex tools in less than eight hours and was virtually flash free on first tryout.
